High School or Equivalent
Basic knowledge of driving tasks, security and general maintenance
Has a valid driving license and a good track record in safe driving.
Has excellent knowledge of areas in Beirut and good knowledge of other Lebanese regions
Previous work as a driver or in logistics is an advantage.
Experience from physical protection, first aid, civil defense, or similar is an asset.
Fluency in English and Arabic communication (Written and Spoken).
Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures.
Has good driving habits and a well-developed security posture.
Must be able to operate vehicle in different weather conditions
Attentive and quickly responsive and competently to the Line Manager’s requests
Has excellent attendance and positive attitude to the job.
Ability to deal effectively and patiently with others.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the staff.
Ability to work under stressful conditions/ high stress tolerance.
Motivated and is able to take initiative.
Ready to work beyond normal working hours when needed, and requested.
High ethical standards in accordance with humanitarian standards and anti-corruption policy.
Run tasks and errands as requested by Senior Admin and Logistics Officer.
Perform all duties in accordance with NPA’s policies and procedures and comply with all local regulations for the safe operations of a motor vehicle.
Transport NPA’s staff and guests and assists passengers in getting in and out of vehicles, and other courtesies.
Plan route and requirements by studying schedule or ad-hoc requests by the office, always considering security policy, updated security advice, and weather conditions.
Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction
Fulfill special Office requests by picking up and delivering items as directed by Senior Admin and Logistics Officer.
Maintain passenger confidence by keeping information strictly confidential.
Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies or irregularities.
Inspect vehicle for defects and sage operating conditions before, during and after trips.
Works closely with Senior Admin and Logistics Officer especially the issues related to Country Director and NPA guests and visitors.
Checks at least once per week vehicles oil, water, etc. as in the vehicle’s checklist.
Check on weekly basis the external status of the vehicles and reports any incidents/accidents.
Conduct regular maintenance to the assigned vehicles. (Full service at each engine’s oil replacement)
Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and cleans interior and exterior.
Make sure all vehicles documentation inside NPA vehicles are maintained and tracked.
Maintain records required for compliance with local laws and regulations.
Ensuring that the organisation vehicles are always parked in designated areas.
Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to the management.
Ensure that vehicles are furnished with up to date first aid equipment.
In charge of the maintenance of all vehicles, reporting any malfunctions, maintaining relevant records in the vehicles, etc.
General Office Maintenance
Responsible for the office maintenance such as and not limited to furniture, electricity, etc. needed in the office, when and where required.
Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
Deliver and receive mail and postage, and collect offers from suppliers
Submit, collect and follow up applications at NSSF, Ministry of Finance, Lebanese ministries, Lebanese General Security, LMAC, RMAC, Foreign embassies and consulates, Customs offices, post offices, companies, municipalities, etc.), as based on the valid power of attorney prepared and signed at Notary Public office; and in coordination with the relevant departments (HR and Finance).
Pick up at a delivery place or the office procured goods, and fill in necessary procurement documents, such as goods received note, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
